Abstracts

My passion for art revolves around color, shapes, motion, and texture.  The creative process for the pieces in this collection is one of transformation as I seek to find harmony among these four attributes.  Occasionally, I will see a photo that I find challenging, or in some cases, I’m commissioned to embark on this journey using my own photography. 
Starting with the phortograph I employ a variety of techniques and alter the characteristics of the subject.  There’s a path to discovery in creating, finding, and magnifying these aspects of color, shape, motion, and texture to achieve a state of visual and emotional impact that appeals to my imagination.
Examining the different images in this collection, can you figure out from where inspiration may have been drawn or what the original object may have been?  Ultimately, art is yours to interpret, so lose yourself in your imagination and try to discover what each piece symbolizes for you.
